On October 29, 1966, Theta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was chartered. For over 50 years, Theta Iota Omega Chapter has implemented effective programs that have impacted Long Island, New York State and abroad.  In co-sponsorship with its philanthropic arm, Ivy Foundation Suffolk/Nassau Counties Inc., Theta Iota Omega Chapter has awarded over $650,000 in academic and cultural arts scholarships over the years.  The chapter continues to exemplify excellence through sustainable service by forming valuable partnerships.  Chapter members are professional women, leaders in their fields, and trailblazers in their communities.  The members of Theta Iota Omega Chapter are committed to providing “Service to All Mankind.”
